The most eye-opening civics lesson I ever had was while teaching third grade during the last Presidential election. The election was heating up and some of the children showed an interest. I decided we would have an election for a class president.

We would choose our nominees... They would make a campaign speech and the class would vote. To simplify the process, candidates were nominated by other class members. We discussed what kinds of characteristics these students should have. We got many nominations and from those, Jamie and Olivia were picked to run for the top spot.

The class had done a great job in their selections. Both candidates were good kids. I thought Jamie might have an advantage because he got lots of parental support. I had never seen Olivia's mother.

The day arrived when they were to make their speeches.

Jamie went first. He had specific ideas about how to make our class a better place. He ended by promising to do his very best. Everyone applauded and he sat down.

Now is was Olivia's turn to speak. Her speech was concise.She said, "If you will vote for me, I will give you ice cream." She sat down.

The class went wild. "Yes! Yes! We want ice cream."

She surely would say more. She did not have to. A discussion followed. How did she plan to pay for the ice cream? She wasn't sure. But no one pursued that question. They took her at her word. Would her parents buy it or would the class pay for it....She didn't know.

The class really didn't care. All they were thinking about was ice cream...

Jamie was forgotten. Olivia won by a landslide.

Every time Barack Obama opened his mouth he offered ice cream and 51.4 % of the people reacted like nine year olds. They wanted ice cream.

The other 48.6% percent know they're going to have to feed the cow and clean up the mess."

This is the ice cream Obama promised us!

Remember, the government cannot give anything to anyone that they have not first taken away from someone else.

True: 230,000 jobs were filled making an unemployment rate of 8.3% in January.

Fact: The only reason that the employment rate dropped is because so many unemployed
           have stopped looking for work and when those are no longer counted among the unemployed.and are removed from the numbers, the true unemployment rate is 13+%

I am a member of golf's 99%. I play golf when I feel like it, but have not yet made it to the professional level! I have played the game for over 20 years, but have not really put in the practice time and study to be the best. I also probably do not have the skills to really get there either, and let's face it, I'm kind of lazy.

However, I now feel that I should be paid by the successful dedicated Golf professionals for sort of trying. It isn't fair that those players who have worked harder, have studied the game, have better equipment and are stronger and more skilled should make all that BIG money. Where's my share? Oh sure, they have their charities that they give millions of dollars to, but I am sure that they write all that off on their tax returns to reduce paying their fair share. Is that fair?

They should pay for my golf, buy me new equipment and pay me some of their winnings. The whole system should be changed to accommodate people like me! Let's occupy a golf course and demand that those who are better at what they do pay for us who aren't as good. Whining should get us something, like media attention and sympathy!

Barack Hussein Obama is no fool. He is not incompetent. To the contrary, he is brilliant. He knows exactly what he's doing. He is purposely overwhelming the U.S. economy to create systemic failure,

economic crisis and social chaos -- thereby destroying capitalism and our country from within. Barack Hussein Obama was my college classmate ( Columbia University , class of '83).

**He is a devout Muslim do not be fooled.

Look at his Czars...anti-business. .anti-American. As Glenn Beck correctly predicted from day one, Barack Hussein Obama is following the plan of Cloward & Piven, two professors at Columbia University . They outlined a plan to socialize America by overwhelming the system with government spending and entitlement demands. Add up the clues below. Taken individually they're alarming.

Taken as a whole, it is a brilliant, Machiavellian game plan to turn the United States into a socialist/Marxist state with a permanent majority that desperately needs government for survival ... and can be counted on to always vote for bigger government.

Why not? They have no responsibility to pay for it.

Universal health care. The health care bill had very little to do with health care. It had everything to do with unionizing millions of hospital and health care workers, as well as adding 15,000 to 20,000 new IRS agents (who will join government employee unions).

Obama doesn't care that giving free health care to 30 million Americans will add trillions to the national debt. What he does care about is that it cements the dependence of those 30 million voters to Democrats and big government. Who but a socialist revolutionary would pass this reckless spending bill in the middle of a depression?

Cap and trade. Like health care legislation having nothing to do with health care, cap and trade has nothing to do with global warming. It has everything to do with redistribution of income, government controlof the economy and a criminal payoff to Obama's biggest contributors. Those powerful and wealthy unions and contributors (like GE, which owns NBC, MSNBC and CNBC) can then be counted on to support everything Obama wants.

They will kick-back hundreds of millions of dollars in contributions to Obama and the Democratic Party to keep them in power. The bonus is that all the new taxes on Americans with bigger cars, bigger homes and businesses helps Obama "spread the wealth around."

Make Puerto Rico a state. Why? Who's asking for a 51st state? Who's asking for millions of new welfare recipients and government entitlement addicts in the middle of a depression? Certainly not American taxpayers. But this has been Barack Hussein Obama's plan all along. His goal is to add two new Democrat senators, five Democrat congressman and a million loyal Democratic voters who are dependent on big government.

Legalize 12 million illegal Mexican immigrants. Just giving these 12 million potential new citizens free health care alone could overwhelm the system and bankrupt America . But it adds 12 million reliable new Democrat voters who can be counted on to support big government. Add another few trillion dollars in welfare, aid to dependent children, food stamps, free medical, education, tax credits for the poor, and eventually Social Security.

Stimulus and bailouts. Where did all that money go? It went to Democrat contributors, organizations (ACORN), and unions -- including billions of dollars to save or create jobs of government employees across the country. It went to save GM and Chrysler so that their employees could keep paying union dues. It went to AIG so that Goldman Sachs could be bailed out (after giving Obama almost $1 million in contributions). A staggering $125 billion went to teachers (thereby protecting their union dues).

All those public employees will vote loyally Democrat to protect their bloated salaries and pensions that are bankrupting America .

The country goes broke, future generations face a bleak future, but Obama, the Democrat Party, government, and the unions grow more powerful. The ends justify the means.

Raise taxes on small business owners, high-income earners, and job creators. Put the entire burden on only the top 20 percent of taxpayers, redistribute the income, punish success, and reward those who did nothing to deserve it (except vote for Obama).

Reagan wanted to dramatically cut taxes in order to starve the government. Barack Obama wants to dramatically raise taxes to starve his political opposition. With the acts outlined above, Barack Hussein Obama and his regime have created a vast and rapidly expanding constituency of voters dependent on big government; a vast privileged class of public employees who work for big government; and a government dedicated to destroying capitalism and installing themselves as socialist rulers by overwhelming the system.

Add it up and you've got the perfect Marxist scheme -- all devised by my Columbia University college classmate Barack Hussein Obama using the Cloward and Piven Plan.

On Romney's character. From the mailbag

Sometimes, this facet of Romney’s personality isn’t so subtle.

In July 1996, the 14-year-old daughter of Robert Gay, a partner at Bain Capital, had disappeared. She had attended a rave party in New York City and gotten high on ecstasy. Three days later, her distraught father had no idea where she was.

Romney took immediate action. He closed down the entire firm and asked all 30 partners and employees to fly to New York to help find Gay’s daughter. Romney set up a command center at the LaGuardia Marriott and hired a private detective firm to assist with the search. He established a toll-free number for tips, coordinating the effort with the NYPD, and went through his Rolodex and called everyone Bain did business with in New York, and asked them to help find his friend’s missing daughter. Romney’s accountants at Price Waterhouse Cooper put up posters on street poles, while cashiers at a pharmacy owned by Bain put fliers in the bag of every shopper. Romney and the other Bain employees scoured every part of New York and talked with everyone they could – prostitutes, drug addicts – anyone.That day, their hunt made the evening news, which featured photos of the girl and the Bain employees searching for her. As a result, a teenage boy phoned in, asked if there was a reward, and then hung up abruptly.

The NYPD traced the call to a home in New Jersey, where they found the girl in the basement, shivering and experiencing withdrawal symptoms from a massive ecstasy dose. Doctors later said the girl might not have survived another day.

Romney’s former partner credits Mitt Romney with saving his daughter’s life, saying, “It was the most amazing thing, and I’ll never forget this to the day I die.”So, here’s my epiphany: Mitt Romney simply can’t help himself. Many people are unaware of the fact that when Romney was asked by his old employer, Bill Bain, to come back to Bain & Company as CEO to rescue the firm from bankruptcy, Romney left Bain Capital to work at Bain & Company for an annual salary of one dollar. When Romney went to the rescue of the 2002 Salt Lake Olympics, he accepted no salary for three years, and wouldn’t use an expense account. He also accepted no salary as Governor of Massachusetts.Character counts!! (and yes...that's worth reading again!)

I have written to you several times about the amazing similarities between America's untenable situation in 1776, and those we face today. Our president's actions and behaviors, dedicated to moving persistently toward himself ultimately having absolute and unfettered authority over our lives, are becoming frighteningly clear. Witness his recent recess appointments (when Obama conveniently ignored the fact that Congress was not in recess), his unprecedented appointment of his controversial un-vetted Czars, his stating publicly that he can't wait on Congress to get his way so he will take unilateral action, and on, and on.

So, he can now apparently make appointments to, and create new rules for, the most powerful positions in our Federal Government, choosing who he wants, whenever he wants, in utter disregard of the of constitutionality, legality or morality of his actions, ignoring any and all of the various separation of powers provisions, as established by our founding fathers. H-m-m-m, kind of like being King as in King George isn't it. Are we, because of our ennui and our not wanting to upset our current comfort levels, really willing to cede this power to him, and later, like many countries before us, find his power is so entrenched that it's impossible to reverse

The most recent evidence before us is Mark Pearce, the controversial recess appointed Chairman of the NLRB, who is attempting to adopt some repugnant and likely unconstitutional (Who Cares?) rules. Pearce has said that "Our goal is to create a set of rules that eliminate a lot of waste of time, energy and money for the taxpayers." The rules would require businesses to give lists of employee phone numbers and emails to union officials before any election to decide whether to unionize or not. Does that sound like he is thinking of taxpayers? NOT, this proposal would obviously add more power to unions which are desperately seeking to halt their declining membership. It is clear that the NLRB has lost all pretense of objectivity and is solidly in the back pocket of the union movement. It shouldn't be, but I am surprised that in light of our pressing need for greater job creation that the board would try to adopt even more new rules that businesses fiercely oppose.

We have witnessed a steady stream of concessions and give away's to unions at the expense of the rights of employers, employees and taxpayers. Most of these onerous actions present situations that are ripe for abuse by unions. I find it repugnant and outrageous for the federal government to mandate that companies furnish the personal contact information of employees to unions, in violation of their individual rights to privacy!

And, how does our CIC feel about this further usurpation of power by the Executive Branch, and the resulting erosion of the rights of citizens? Obama openly declares that he views it as an improvement necessary to create a level playing field and a necessary step to correct what he sees as the inequality of the classes (class warfare). But, it seems far too apparent that it is just another step to ingratiate himself to his union cronies, and repay them for their enormous political support and monetary contributions. And, just one more step in what appears to be an unfettered gradual march, like the frog in lukewarm to boiling water analogy, to becoming the modern King George.

I Had A Nightmare Last Night

In my nightmare I found myself nude in bed, and I was looking at a mirror on the ceiling, and I discovered that I am a Negro, and I'm circumcised!

Quickly I sat up, found my pants and looked in the pockets to find my driver's license photo and it was that same color, black. I felt myself being very depressed, downcast, sitting in a chair. But it's a wheelchair!

That means, of course, besides being black and Jewish, I'm also disabled! I said to myself, aloud, 'This is impossible! It's impossible that I should be black and Jewish and disabled!'

'It's the pure and holy truth', whispers someone from behind me. I turn around, and it's my boyfriend. Just what I needed! I am a homosexual, and on top of that, with a Mexican boyfriend.

Oh, my God ... Black, Jewish, disabled, gay with a Mexican boyfriend, drug addict, and HIV-positive! Desperate, I begin to shout, cry, pull my hair, and oh, nooooo ... I'm bald!

The telephone rings; it's my brother. He is saying, 'Since mom and dad died, the only thing you do is hang out, take drugs, and lay around all day doing nothing. Get a job, you worthless piece of crap ... any job!'

Mom? Dad? Nooooo ... Now I'm also an unemployed orphan! I try to explain to my brother how hard it is to find a job when you are black, Jewish, disabled, gay with a Mexican boyfriend, are a drug addict, HIV positive, bald, and an orphan, but he doesn't get it.

Frustrated, I hang up. It's then I realize I only have one hand! With tears in my eyes, I go to the window to look out. I see I live in a shanty-town full of cardboard and tin houses! There is trash everywhere..

Suddenly I feel a sharp pain near my pacemaker ... Pacemaker? Besides being black, Jewish, disabled, a fairy with a Mexican boyfriend, a drug addict, HIV positive, bald, orphaned, unemployed, an invalid with one hand, and having a bad heart, I live in a crappy neighborhood.

At that very moment my boyfriend approaches and says to me, 'Sweetie pie, my love, my little black heartthrob, have you decided what you are going to wear to Washington to see Obama?

The OBAMA Saga. Sad, Sickening, But Not Surprising.

As the days and weeks dribble by with world tensions, weather disasters, military saber rattling, and all the crazy shit that goes on in the Arab world, one could feel like an untalented boxer getting his ass kicked by a bigger, stronger, faster opponent. You just never can tell from where the next blow will come. One dependable truth you can plan on, just as sure as gravity, it that there is not a week that will go by without another "WTF" from our stumbling President.

In the beginning, right after he slithered into office, I started out slightly charitable. I was acutely aware the he was the most non-credentialed, inexperienced, untested, uninformed person ever to get elected in our 230 years of democratic experimenting. But, charitable as I was, I kept telling myself that if he was a constitutional law professor, even if it was Harvard and he was a Democrat, he might have taken at least a couple courses in Economics and maybe read Adam Smith or had a working knowledge of the Federalist papers. Apparently not !

Still with a somewhat open mind I merely watched and waited. It did not help that he crawled out of the sewer politics of Chicago/Illinois because Illinois was my home state and I had plenty of exposure to the drainage. ( I think the current count at the moment is 3 Illinois Governors are doing time in Joliet Prison)

Three years have gone by now and my worst dreams have materialized watching the miserable failing presidency as it spun down the tubes. There is an underlying thankfulness that Obama has performed as expected. The misguided socialist fool has horribly misjudged the people. You can fool them once but not twice...and that will be a blessing.

I consider it my assignment to demonstrate as many of his foolish f--kups as I can, if for no other reason than some folks probably missed a few of them. Once again, this week, even more of his sleazy political faux pas have surfaced.

I am quite sure you, dear reader, got an earful of the Solyndra scandal in which our president personally saw to it that a failing company that contributed mightily to his election efforts was able to become anointed with a half-BILLION of your tax dollars to build solar panels. The bankruptcy was in all the media. The mainstream media made sure that their puppy dog president had tons of air time to plead his case that you must except a failure here and there..and it was just part of business and worth the risk.

Well, it was not just ONE little slip. The beat goes on !!! There is now a list as long as your arm of more of the sleazy deals it will be fun to check out the political contributions that will be turned up. Check out full picture below.

Put me in charge of Medicaid. The first thing I'd do is to get welfare women
Norplant birth control implants or tubal legations. Then, we'll test all
recipients for drugs, alcohol, and nicotine. If you want to reproduce or use drugs, alcohol, or smoke, then get a job.

Put me in charge of government housing. Ever live in a military barracks?

You will maintain our property in a clean and good state of repair.
Your home" will be subject to inspections anytime and possessions will be
inventoried. If you want a plasma TV or Xbox 360, Dish TV or cable, then get a job and your
own place.

In addition, you will either present a check stub from a job each week
or you will report to a "government" job. It may be cleaning the roadways
of trash, painting and repairing public housing, pounding nails for Habitat for Humanity orwhatever we find for you. We will sell your 22 inch rims and low profile tires and your blasting stereo and speakers and put that money toward the "common good.."

Before you write that I've violated someone's rights, realize that all of
the above is voluntary. If you want our money, accept our rules. Before you
say that this would be "demeaning" and ruin their "self esteem," consider
that it wasn't that long ago that taking someone else's money for doing
absolutely nothing was demeaning and lowered self esteem.

If we are expected to pay for other people's mistakes we should at
least attempt to make them learn from their bad choices. The current system
rewards them for continuing to make bad choices.

AND While you are sucking at the public trough in any form, you no longer can VOTE! Yes,
that is correct. For you to vote would be a conflict of interest. You will
voluntarily remove yourself from voting while you are receiving a government
welfare check. If you want to vote, then get a job.
